black&white vintage

so you want to make a black and white photo have a vintage look? lets start!

>>im gonna use this picture.
>>open up your picture on photoshop.
>>make a new layer and fill it with black
>>set it to screen (100%).
>>duplicate the base(background/sm picture) and drag it on top of the black screen layer.
>>set the duplicate to overlay (100%)
>>make a new layer on top of the rest, fill it with #1b1464. it should be a dark navy blue.
>>set the layer to exclusion (100%)
>>make another layer and fill it with #f3c72b it should be a golden dark yellow.
>>set thats layer to overlay at 11%, or you can set it to whatever percentage looks best.
>>duplicate the base/background layer again and drag it to the top, set it to soft light.
>>and your done :)
